Rock Fishing Safety Gear / Setup
Submitted by Lowza on Wed, 2017-03-08 10:25
This Salmon season, trying some more adventurous rock fishing spots.
Just interested in hearing peoples rope set up and where to tie up.
I have invested in good rock hoppers, PFD, 6m gaff but still wanting that safety of being tied off. Just wondering where people get this sorta gear from.
Cheers

all that for salmon?
Lowza i reccomend saving your money and just wear a pair of thongs shirt and shorts and fish locally for salmon north mole woodmans point etc and if your fishing down south for them there is still plenty of spots that do not require saftey gear dont put your self in hamrs way for any fish little own a salmon down south when salmon are running almost every beach will hold a few no need to go rock hopping for them
wont catch em sitting at home!

Safety gear
I believe a lot of sporting shops down Albany way have "loan out safety gear" all you do it put down a deposit which you get back on returning the gear. A quick call to RECFISHWEST will get you a list of who loans out the gear. Have a good one.
