ROCKINGHAMS NEW JETTY
Spent last night on the new jetty that has a ramp down one side that gets you closer to the water. Nice new jetty, lots of locals walking dogs, going for a stroll. We got there about 5.30pm ish and got the end of the jetty and before u know there was about 20 or 30 having a fish..
A bit later two older guys on the piss loud and obnoxious and a young guy rocked up, A grandad and his teenage grandson and a few young familys enjoying a fish on an extremely well lit jetty and Im talking extremely well lit it! Stands out like a beacon in the bay but all in all a nice place for a fish, pity the fish didn't seem to think so, they were well noted by their absence. I think the only thing caught all night was one ugly mutha scorpion fish, not what you want on your line.
As the night went on the crowds thinned as the enthusiasm levels dropped and a bloke said to me, "I don't know how anybody can expect to catch anything with all the noise that's happening" and I agreed but what can you do on a public jetty apart from rely on your fellow man to do the right thing. Ha what a joke!
It only takes a couple of inconsiderate individuals to spoil it for others which leads me back to the two blokes on the piss loud and obnoxious. One of them decided it might be funny to throw another blokes dog into the water off a very high jetty, this was a very nice calm, devoted dog sitting on the top looking down at his owner while he was fishing...
As soon as the splash happened a certain "Fishwrecked" member confronted him with it, he cowered away and denied it all, then he had to deal with the owner wallking up the ramp and to the end of the jetty to ask who threw his dog in.. He wasn't man enough to face the owner of the dog and completely denied it. They spoilt the night for everyone then they proceeded to drive away drunk as skunks what complete f$&*in morons! Cant wait to get this boat in the water so I dont have to put up with all that shit and at least have a chance of taking home a feed of fish.... I still say land based fishing sux...
And to the loser who likes to abuse other peoples dogs.. all 3 of us remember your face, take a towel next time mate, you would probably need it at a guess. Darryl

Last night some drunk dickheads came 3 meters away from the narrows and abused the guys then took off with my line and pinged it. Liam did manage to hold their little inflatable up on locked drag though. What complete utter dickheads

Can't stand selfish people, the world (jetty) is a big place for everybody to have a good time, just takes some nob head to stuff up a good days fishing, sorry for the swearing but my blood boils when I see idiots do that to animals.

Typical rocko jetty
Typical rocko jetty behavior, had a bit of trouble myself there and on the other jetty last year.
Short stories, fight between two old dudes, cops came I had to give a statement.
Lent a guy my torch, he threw it in the water (nice guy). Almost got in a fight, him and his mate start throwing beer bottles at me, one smashing on my arm and the other few whizzed past my head.
Some kid got attacked down there last year as well.
It wouldnt have hurt the dog much, but it is just so wrong that it wasnt his dog!!

Lucky the dog survived the drop , its an extremely high jetty.
Like others my blood boils to read this but on a bright note its good to see the jetty is fishable,,i thought it would be quite useless,,hopefully fishos don't clash with swimmers though or we will be banned.
