rod choice?

looking at a cheap rod in the 10' range for under 100 bucks to suit a silun just for hitting up tailor off rocks n beach etc.

and has anyone heard of the rovex silun's busting up??

i was told this by someone but not sure if its true....

thanks!

Reuben

Penn powerstick?

10', 2 piece, I think its rated to about 10kg - $100 pr thereabouts from memory. My mate uses it from the beach with no hassles. Good honest rod from what I have seen.

The only problem with silun

The only problem with silun is that it is a 2 piece spool. Two C's welded together in the middle, should do fine especially on tailor.

Are you fishing mostly with lures, or mostly with bait and heavier sinkers? (i.e. over an ounce or so)

Spend a bit more cash and get the BIG boss :P Like mine and then 300m 30lb braid :) Great drag and titanium shaft its pretty damn good. The silun looks better but its mainly plastic isnt it?
