Rod Courier
Submitted by Uluabuster on Fri, 2014-12-05 14:10
Hi All,
Was wondering which courier/freight/shipping company does everyone use for shipping rod interstate ? What are the charges like ? Australian Post does not deliver anything over 1 metre. :(
The rods are packed and sealed in either PVC pipes or its own custom transparent plastic rectagular tube.
Thanks

Yeah star track is the best.
Yeah star track is the best. Next day shipping for small goods like reels, tackle, lures etc. and under a week for rods and the big stuff
Fishing the swan for bream, it's just an obsession

I was charged only 20 by the tackle shop
They may have an account with startrack that offers better rates. A once off could carry a heavier price.
cheers

Found this
https://www.smartsend.com.au/booking.cfm?tbid=289419
can do up to a 4M long parcel.
for arguments sake i put
2KG parcel weight, 10cmx400cmx10cm
Perth 6000 to postcode 2000 and it was about $28.
One catch, has to be a commercial address for collection.
Cheers,
