Rod for new Thunnus Ci4 8000D

Hey guys,

Just bought this lovely reel to replace my old 12000D and 4500B. It will be used mainly for livebaits and floaters out the back of the boat for snapper/mackerel and also in the river for mulloway.

After some advice on a rod for it, something graphite, 6'5" (dont want any longer) and rated to 30lb or PE3. Open to all brands and looking for something mid-range to about $300 give or take a little.

Happy to travel to different tackle stores to check 'em out :)

im thinking the Daiwa Saltist Demon Blood 64 Combi Jerk would be perfect for you.
Spin, 2 Piece, 6'4, Medium Taper, 90-230g cast/jig weight, rated PE2-4. Depending on where you get it from, your looking at between $300 to $330.

That sounds good, I completely forgot about that rod. I'll check it out :)

Anyone know of any G Loomis 30lb spin sticks with the cork grip? I'd love to add a Loomis to my collection.

I like the fin-nor rods....

I now have the 30Lb, 50Lb and 100Lb rods...  Strong and light as f..k!!!  I get mine for around the $225 each mark.. I dare say you could research them on the net and maybe pick them up even a little cheaper if youre lucky...  Good rod for the money.
