The Roos were perennial 8th placed ish over his time... so just top half, with no where near the quality of players as other clubs during that time.
Likeable enough...
I think they over achieved under Brad Scott - but agreed to what end? Maybe better to tank?
They recycled some great players eg Hamstrings Higgins is a star . Ben Brown from nowhere...
They had financial restrictions and missed that big fish like Dusty or Josh Kelly which could have jumped them up a few rungs on the ladder, but really - not like their list has many that other clubs are like WOW - Scott Thompson - could we please get him!!!!

I think you are very naive if you doubt his coaching ability, Nick Reiwoldt & Pavlich only have praise for him, both captains of grand final side Ross coached...
My opinion is sacking coaches is a backwards move UNLESS you have a better candidate, do they?

Longmuir at West Coast during their 2015 grand final defeat, then moved to Collingwood in 2018 and was on the wrong end of another grand final. Should fit in nicely at Fremantle.

It will be a fresh coach, they can not afford to pay a lot for an experienced coach, not that there’s any that will get a look in. It will be Longmuir, I’m pretty sure about that.

A lot of talk about bring a 'Freo Person' in. They should bring in the best person available that is the most likely to deliver them a flag after a diligent process has been followed. Longmuir seems like he may be that guy anyway. Who knows give him 3 years and see what he can produce. As much as I hate to say it, the list aint bad.
A pass mark in my book for Longmuir with the current list would be bottom half of the 8, or very narrowly missing out. Minimise the humiliating losses (eg: WCE belting and losses to the bottom 3) and come across as a half decent human being.
Lets face it, the first coach to deliver that club their first flag will end up a 'Freo Person' for all eternity anyway.
