Rotto Salmon and Kings

Just came back from filming our boating series yesterday at Rotto and man, you should see all the salmon out there.
I got underwater shots of about 10,000 fish in one school behind West End and there was another huge one just at the entrance to Geordie Bay.
Paul Green must have caught and released 40 himself!
Got blown away by a big king each too.

We're plotting a trip there tomorrow! Any signs of spaniards as well? And were the salmon visible before you went over the side? Anyway, sounds like an exciting day you had, hope we get onto something similar!

We're going out to film tomorrow (Monday). Couldn't miss on Friday but you had to fish the breakers.
I got drilled by either a spaniard or probably a big king on my 6kg gear. Way too powerful for a salmon.

That mag is a great idea. Got tons more salmon yesterday even though the swell was huge. They were only sitting right in the break.
I reckon we came away with the best salmon story you'll ever see. Bloody funny too.
