oh it has been
The fishing has been going off mate. We went out at 3 yesterday arvo, got 1 marlin, 1 sailfish, 7 crimsons, 6 spanglies, 1 mangrove jack, 1 chinaman, 1 rankin and left them biting. Has been funny bite times, but when you work it out, the fish are on in a BIIG way.

Must be luck!!! LOL
I guess if you live there you arent at the mercy of the weather as much as the annual 10 day trippers. How did the sharks go? We lost a lot of quality fish when we were ther.

Many thanks!!
Many thanks Adam/Fishwrecked/Faulkner Family and other organisers, and to PilbaraBrad for the comp sponsorship of my biggest red emperor prize...a Shimano Tyrhnos 20 with lotsa braid on it!!! yeralegend Brad - I'll let ya touch it again when I see ya next LOL...
Was a great event, really good to meet a bunch of Fishwrecked crew in person, have a good time despite hard weather, the photo comp idea is gold too.
The prize reel was exactly the kind of reel i needed to buy next but cant afford, crazy luck, and brilliant skippering again by Gully to put us on them that night.
Unlucky fish - I got the fish on, got it off the bottom, got a tangle with another line, buggered around getting that off while the fish was hanging off it still way down deep (thinking it wasnt a big fish), started winching/skulldragging it up when all I felt was a dead weight, thinking I had a massive occy or something grab it while we were untangling, got it to the surface, saw it had been hooked in the soft bit of the gill cover, and it came off on the surface as soon as Gully hooked the gaff through it's lip. At that point we knew this unlucky fish would be the winner!!
Thanks to Gully and Jay and of course Ads for a great trip and comp!
Cheers,
Ewan
