Pointy end is coming around fast. Couple of big games coming up for the local mobs. Will Freo get the jump this time on the Tigers, will the Eagles take advantage of a lacklustre Swans with a further depleted defence (which has admittedly done quite well so far)? Collingwood looking to get a faltering season back on track against the Bullies, Hawks with a possible training run friday night. Which edition of the Roos will show up against the Lions?

Dunno what to make of this week. Tippet was going to stretch us badly heightwise in the backline but isn't a great loss for the Swans the way he's been playing but now it does mean Barras get to play on another young player and no Ted Richards likely means that Darling is going to be off the leash after an absolute stinker last week. This is the test our midfield has been waiting for and if we apply the relentless pressure that the Hawks did last week on their ball carriers I can actually see us winning this one and being on top of the table come Sunday night.

I always get quizzed about why I don't barrack for Freo as my second team because they are West Australian. My answer is always that I draw my line at the river and I barrack for the Eagles and anyone that plays the Dockers... except maybe Essendon whereby I hope a meteor lands on the oval and wipes out both teams and their feral supporters. I reckon the interstate rivalry is great and unlike soccer we can really get stuck into each other without pulling out stanley knives and striping each other.
That being said I hope Fyfe whacks someone and then does his knee so he loses the Brownlow and watching Freo go out in straight sets in the finals.

Last year Priddis was an outside chance & look what a surprise that turned out to be ....
We here in the west tend to concentrate on our local teams & the stats of those teams a little more than the eastern states teams.
There are a few players that I think are in the running & capable of a surprise. And don't forget there is still 7 rounds left, a lot can happen in 7 games....

I am very happy to be an Eagles supporter and always have been. But I am also proud of WA and thus barrack for any team from WA against ALL teams from other states.
Who did you support before the Dockers came into the fray?? Must have been someone so with your passion you must have jumped ship on a team.
I wont jump ship but choose to support who I want to. But I wouldnt want the Eagles to suffer IF the other teams outcome could influence us. So this week even though I picked the Dockers (because I think they are better than Tiges) I hope they loose. That will mean we are on top off the table. So I suppose I am one eyed, but I do have 2!!

In A Way I Want Richmond To Beat The Dorkers To Give The Eagles The Opportunity To Go To The Top Of The Ladder If They Beat Sydney On Sunday, But On The Other Hand, The Frockers Beating Richmond Would Pretty Much Seal A Top 4 Spot For The Eagles Lol.
