RST assessment

Bit of a plug , Did my rst today with Bill Muir at Matilda Bay in the city . Very educated man took from 9 am till 12.30 and he onlt takes 5 people at a time . He even does assesments on your boat if you want and can fit the assesment into any time frame if needed and also different locations

was $200 and better than the generic 2 day courses , comments awere made on how long till the skippers ticket becomes an annual license hmmmm not a once off payment

Yeah, you know it's gonna happen. Just like Worksafe tickets (forklift, crane, cherry picker etc)...they used to be "one-off" as well, now they're up for renewal every 5 years, $45 each time![Yell Yell](/sites/all/modules/tinymce/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-yell.gif)

Sounds like you picked the right guy Feral.
Yeah, I personally think the powers that be wanted to soften the blow of the RST when introduced by 'promising' it will be a once off fee. I'd be VERY suprised indeed if that didn't turn into an annual licence fee within the next few years.
