Have to agree. I have a DB version and I use it for offshore plastics and jigs, trolling, live baitin, Iv even bottom bounced with it with 6-8oz weight, could cast with it too. Have high sticked it with like 8kgs of drag (biiiig ray) and hasnt exploded lol.
i have bottom bashed with as much as 24oz sinkers no dramas and basically have a locked drag of 10kg"s on mine just about every trip out wide.
but yes I agree, very versatile. You can do just about any form of boat fishing (maybe not whiting) with them as long as you have them matched with the right reel and drag setting.

perfectly matched to a reel in the 4000 - 4500 region
