Sambos FFB

Heading out tomorrow from rockingham to have a bit of sambo fun hopefully. Just wondering what the best depth/ground on the FFB to burley them up in?

We get most of ours on the back anywhere from 10-20m. They respond really well to burley, you'll usually see them under the boat eating the cubes. We got one yesterday in 20m

...I normally drift along, jigging or flicking placcys ahead of the drift. If they're around, you'll know...if they don't actually eat the lure, you'll see them chase it on the way up. Once located, I normally anchor up, put just enough berley in to keep them around, and mostly get them on light gear/placcys.

On some days they'll come right to the top, then it's popper/stickbait time! Usually the ones I get off Mandurah are under 10 kg so I can go pretty light...10-15 lb gear with 20-30 lb FC leader. Tried it with the bream/whiting outfit once or twice...not recommended!

...though they were around that day, I did it while high-sticking an eagle ray! And yeah, the chicken berley is always a goer!
