Sand / School Whiting

Hi Guys,
Took a girlfriend out for a quick haul of whiting on Sunday - they really are a good size at the moment - got our bag limit in no time, after rejecting anything under about 22cm...
The biggest one I got was 27cm, and weighed 152 gms. I haven't seen them that big out there (behind Garden Island) - what sizes have you been catching?
This bucket full was really worth the effort of filleting!

30cm plus
up to low 30's at some spots. Nice and fat at that size. Lots of smaller ones in amongst them though. Average would be mid to high 20's.
We fish 32 -34m usually though I did fish a spot a few week back in 40m that held some bigger fish.
My daughter with a couple of average size fish taken a couple of weeks back.

would have been fun getting one after the other and that size is worth it. out behind G I you do get some beauties, my biggest was 31 cm at 225gm. would have been fun filleting that lot

We found some nice ones in
We found some nice ones in about 33m yesterday. Biggest was 32cm, most were about 26-28cm. Bloody good feed.
