Saragosa SW?

Hey ppl,
I've been eyeing up these reels for a while now and was curious if anyone had any feedback?
In particular I'm looking at them for a possible beach combo. I love my baitrunners but the amount of grit I find when servicing tells me that they wont last forever. Maybe the Saragosa's new sealing might be worth the cost?
Cheers in advance,

I recently bought the 6000.
I recently bought the 6000. Using it as a bit of a general purpose reel, although only from the beach so far. Beautifuly smooth and solid unit which casts well (using 30lb shinobi). I've been using stradics previously and it's definitely a step up in quality. Alan Hawk has just put it on top of his budget offshore reels list but no review posted as yet.

Saragosa's are rugged
Saragosa's are rugged workhorses.
I gave owned a few (about 8-10) over the last 6 yrs, but NOT one of the new models.
Because of their price where they fit in the Shimano lineup I have always thought and used them like an upgraded Spheros. Tough as the old Spheros but way more refined. Certainly have never used mine like a downgraded Stella where you have to treat the reel like your missus, with care and appreciation (hi honey!!!!!).
The only issue I had and have with mine older model is line capacity, and side plate glue never seem to last, but I dont think that the line capacity was an issue, just on paper looked low for the size of the reels, and the side plates was only a cosmetic thing, and glue fixed that. The plates in the new model has disappeared.
As mentioned I havent got a new one (yet) because moving back from Karratha to Perth I had to get smaller reels which there are better options. Need lower than 5000 rated reels.

Cheers for the replys guys. I'll start saving my pennies. Tempted to look at a 25k to cover ballooning and sliding and maybe an 8k down the track as my main reel.
