I have been through the search function and am still guessing where the closest place to Rockingham is to get Scalies, any advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers

there are lots of places
there are lots of places around rockingham. if you have a boat just look for schools on the sounder a good spot is near the mussel farm in cockburn sound. if your fishing from the shore palm beach jetty the best way to catch them at palm beach jetty is with a pencil float, 1 dropper loop and then about 30cm to another hook. make sure the hooks are very small as the scalys are very timid. i find that that rig works better than bait jigs at that particular spot. otherwise eshed they are always at eshed during the dayand early morning, after dark at eshed they dont bite. the most effective way here is a bait jig. it usually only takes 30 mins to fill a bucket.

and there is the ammo jetty
and there is the ammo jetty there hasnt been a day when i havent filled a bucket. you just need bait jigs here. if you have a lot of time its worth at the ammo jetty and eshed just having a big rod out with a live scalie just in case something swims by.
