Scotty Rod Holders

Hi everyone. Does anybody use scotty rod holders? I am going to get one to install on one of my kayaks to hopefully turn a recreational kayak into a fishing Kayak

For overhead reel combos
For overhead reel combos they are ok .. but i find ram mounted rod tubes better for spin gear to get the reels away from the water on both of my hobies ..

Yeah I have one on my kayak
Yeah I have one on my kayak and its great for either a baitcaster or spinning reel.

my kayak looks a lot like this one. I have looked at heaps of youtube videos but I can't seem to find a tutorial on how to install the kayak rod holders. Does anybody know?

You should be able to either
You should be able to either screw or rivit it to the sides. You can adjust the Scotty Rod holders so even if you fit it to those sloped sides you can set it to a level position.

is that the same with ram
is that the same with ram mount rod holders? Also do you recommend putting sikaflex to make sure it is water proof?
