Sea Sick Pills
Well as earlier reported went to Leeman and as you all know my nick name Spewie. Well guess what mightn't be for much longer. I had heard about these ginger tablets. I decided to try and boy do they work. Asked the chemist can I take them with my Kwells and he said yes. So took two kwells and 3 ginger tablets half a hour before we went out. Can I say they worked fantastic, didn't feel queezy, didn't want to eat half a sandwich when I did feel queezy. Usually after about 3hrs I want to come home as feeling yuckky, but guess what I wanted to stay out longer, somebody else said it was time to come home. Also after two hours you take one ginger tablet, they are called Travelcalm Ginger Tablets 400mgs. They work.
Hope this helpts somebody, they work for me.

I took kwells as well but if you just get queezy after a couple of hours out in the boat they might work. The packets states they are for travelling in planes, trains and cars. They don't make you sleepy at all, I felt fantastic, even taking the kwells.

what type of ginger tablets
what type of ginger tables were they? was it the natural travacalm ones?

They tasted just like ginger (quite strong) as I put them in my mouth to then get the water to swallow, don't know if they where natural travlcalm tablets, the packet was green and white, they worked a treat I'm actually blown away by the effect as I have to take kwells and sometimes they work and sometimes as my nickname I burly up.

Sea sickness
If you have started getting sick but haven't done so before its possible one of your sinus passages from your nose to your ear cavity is blocked.If so see a doctors for spray and pills to clear it out.

but try travacalm original , only need 1 tablet half hour with a bit of food before you hit the water , they work for us blue and white pack

Sounds like Sandy is like me if I don't take kwells, within a hour I'm you-know-what. When we do the cray pots I don't take them but by the time Bob's rebaited and sized the crays its time to come home. But its funny as soon as he starts the motor to head home I stop you-know-what and I'm fine can even have a ciggie. Yes I'll get the travecalm originals and try as well.....thanks
ps...my younger sister is worse than me.....we both suffered badly from car sickness when we where younger also, both of us can't sit in the back seat of a car for long distance driving, we'd be stopping and yelling let me out.

The good thing about Travacalm is they are caffiene based so
they dont zonk you out like kwells. cheers Pete

I might have mentioned this
I might have mentioned this on another post, however I met a bloke a couple of months ago who is a keen sailor but he can suffer from bad sea sickness.
Now dont laugh, but he swore that taping his big toe to his 2nd toe with electrical tape stopped him getting crook. Sounds bloody weird but maybe a case of "mind over matter"

The ginger tablets helped me
The ginger tablets helped me get over car sickness couldnt go 5ks as a passenger with out getting crook I was the same in a boat still went and bought one though have been taking travel calm and ginger tablets before we hit the waterjust to be sure.
Adrumen have been recomended but wasnt able to get them at any of my local chemists.

re; car sickness, went crabbing last week 17/2 & took kwells & ginger tablets, worked extremely well and kids can take them as well

When all else fails
Get Transderm Scop (or Scopoderm) over the net. It is a fantastic patch that used to be available in Oz. It sits behind your ear and works for days on end. Great for the extended charters. Causes a little dry mouth (fixed by beer!!) and blurring vision (makes the fish look bigger) but for those poor resistant sufferers of Motion sickness it is a god send.
