Seaquest

Hi folks, i am chasing some feedback on Seaquest boats.

Has anyone had one or have one and willing to give me some feedback, positive or negative.

Looking around the 18 - 20 foot mark.

Appreciate all valuable input as usual.

cheers Rob

 Mate I’ve got a 20ft

Mate I’ve got a 20ft Seaquest Olympian and love it. Pounds a bit when going into the chop like most plate Ali boats do but is nice and stable at rest. It rides beautiful with a following sea.  Mine is a run about style so not a lot of cabin space just enough to fit a few things like the sea anchor and a few tackle bags but a massive big deck with ample room for fishing and a nice big below floor kill tank. I like it!!!

I have a 7m hardtop Seaquest Olympian that I've had for 20 years now. On to my third donk and its still going strong. Well built boat.

Funny my original paint job was crap too.

6.1m island cab

Fri, 2017-12-08 17:30

My dad has a 6.1m (bit longer overall) island cab, he’s had it for nearly 15 yrs and it’s had no dramas apart from a leaking bung due to old sikaflex. Being an island cab softens up a lot of the ride but it can still bang about when it falls in a hole or big chop. It’s paired up with a 130 2 stroke yammy that certainly isn’t under powered however a modern 2/4 stroke in the 130-150 range would be ideal.

Its seen some big water and always felt sturdy except for our short lived experiment with a hydrofoil fitted. Recurring theme of ordinary original paint job holds true for the old boys as well.
