Just wondering what everyone gets up to when the wind is blowing it's arse off (Apart from drowning sorrows) Mine's golf absolutely love the game although I'm no Tiger Woods nothing better than a quick 9 and a few coldies during and after.

Fishing # 1... then
AFL... When God invented wind, he was inundated with the wrath of fishing people everywhere, so he stored some of the wind in leather encased rubber bags. Some of these were round, and people in the north part of the world ran around kicking their bags of wind. For some, it was just a way to vent their rage for the wind that kept them from their first true love - fishing.... In Australia, which is of course, God's own country, he made the leather casings oval, to provide better challenges for the more skilled and deft people of this great land. As time passed, some followers became so absorbed with their bags of wind they took up their challenges as a career, providing entertainment for the fishing people of the land, for the period of time that has traditionally become renowned for being too inclement for fishing... This period is now called winter, or footy season.... Of course there are always some who do not like to join in the entertainment, and prefer to try their hand at flying - over water, using a board for landing on the water and their own special open bags for catching the wind... they call themselves kite surfers...
Save the Whales! May as well - they won't fit in my catch bag!!!

AFL
Aussie Rules, the real mans football. Love the game, any game, any team. Oh except Collingwood, toothless pricks. Passionately support the Tigers so the game hasn't given me much success in my lifetime, but I reckon we're on the right path. Go the Tiges!

Keepn fit
In between fitness and owning two awsome rotties that love exercise - I try to deflect some time to drawing all things aquatic and keep the home life/creative side in balance.

Up here in karratha dont have anything else. Down south nothing better than strapping yourself into a car with a rollcage and blasting away on some dirt track. Wild Royal show ride = Rallying. To make it even better, prefer the mind side off it, and dummy seat rider (navigator/codriver) rather than the brawn off driving.
Miss it heaps.

Sparring
If i cant get out for a fish I call a few mates and dust off the sparring gear for a few round's .
Nothing like getting beat up to help vent any frustations ( lack of fishing ) I alway's feel better after having my head slapped around for a few hours
Yes it might not sound like every ones cup of tea , but hey its all fun until the next day , thats when the pain kicks in .

We play very casual rules
We play very casual rules Fatboy. Ledge is our course of choice as it's only 20 mins from Seabird. If I had the time I would probably concentrate on it more and try to get a handicap.Nothing nicer than a smashed ball splitting the centre of the fairway hey ;)

Ledge is a pretty good
Ledge is a pretty good course. Every hole has it's own group of volunteers trying to outdo each other. The greens are grass and they get better every year. Very hilly.

Cricket & Harness Racing
I used to be a good cricketer but I gave up when I was 21 because it got in the way of partying.(Club cricket Saturday Arvo, Turf Colts all day sunday) Maybe I need to get back into that as I'm starting to get a bit fat. Other then that its Harness racing, I love them. I own half a horse (the back half hehe) he's was ok a few years ago but is past it now. Was gonna get my reinsman licence a while ago to. Its a rush sitting in the spider behind a horse!

Golf
When I'm not fishing or scuba diving, I'm enjoying waterskiing and skurfing. Keeping fit is a necessity with these water sports....and something that I enjoy...I have a gym set up in my shed.
I'm also a keen golfer and play off 16...trying to get down to single figures is so much harder than I thought.
I used to compete at Ravenswood years ago but that was a lot of money going out for little coming in. I'm still interested in cars and have a long-held desire to build my own hotrod...one day.
I like to build things in the shed....I'm currently building a boat shelter to house the Trailblazer, then we've got to build a new trailer for the runabout.
I like to follow the horses...gallopers and pacers...and have friends who race them, but I'm a mug punter so I tend to watch them race, rather than bet on them.
Ive been trading the share market for a few years now and have been doing quite well.....helped pay for the boat, our Coral Bay holiday and our Melbourne weekend that's coming up next month.
Whatever you enjoy doing, just get out there and do it....life's too short.
