setting up a new fishing ski

i started setting up my new seadoo for fishing. got the sounder mounted and hooked up aswell. is all working well. just waiting on the rear fishing rack. got a custom setup being freighted over from mm stainless in qld. is there any pointers anyone can give, would be much appreciated.

Beach
Dont forget u have the transducer on the back and go to far up the sand if you plan on parking on the beach.

yep got that covered. gotta be careful beaching it anyways as sand can wash up the jet and blow the wear ring even if you start it in depper water. mines more for fishing so beaching isnt really an issue but thanx for the heads up....

Try get the back of the
Try get the back of the sounder protected, maybe house it in a cheap plastic container like a lunchbox or something. The more you can keep your electronics dry the better

the new hds 7 gen 3 is ip
the new hds 7 gen 3 is ip rated. can actually be submerged but i have no desire to do that. the rear plugs are sealed and the plug caps are vasalened to further prevent water ingress but i may look into protecting it a bit further.

Great to see another Ski is getting fitted out for Fishing.
Make sure your Rod Holders are not at the back of the Fishing Rack. It's a long way to lean back to secure your rods into the holders.

secure rods? i put a temp rod holder on back while i wait for my fishing rack which i did secure the rod in via a clip but ended up getting rid of the idea as the rod didnt budge even while getting air. i was surprised how stable it was altho my venom combo ill prob clip being a $1400 plus combo lol

based mainly around ocean
based mainly around ocean reef but do hit up cockburn sound when the fishing is good. what about yourself?

Top left corner of the page under your name click Create Content -> Photo. Then on the upload page you have to select "Jetski Fishing Photos" in the Image Galleries section. Choose your photo and add a comment then click "Save" to publish the post. Your photo will then be the "Latest Image" in the top right hand corner of the page until another photo is uploaded to the site. You can then find your image by going to View Content -> Latest Images. The Gallery can be found in the "Photos" section at the top of the page under the banner
