Mounting GPS Ideas.

Hey guys new to this forum, from what I can tell you guys a all quite helpful with any questions getting set up for jet ski fishing.
I recently just bought the seadoo 2015 GTR 215 and before taking it on its first run im rather keen to have everything set up first. (I hate doing half done Harry's)
therefore I have seen some GPS'S mounted on a bracket near the speedometer's, but also built into the ski just above the front of the seat. I guess I just want to know what's the best way to go about it. Whether it's harder to maintain a in Built One with wires. Or it's just as good having one on the bracket, and there's no need to get one built in.
thanks guys hope you can help.

if yo have a cup holder up
if yo have a cup holder up the front you could always use a ram mount in the cup holder with an arm coming up to the sounder mount if you are using a lowrance sounder it is quite easy. you will need to drill a hole in the cup holder to do this. just a though i have only done it with yamahas though. i will try and find some photos and pm them to you. have you located a spot for the transducer?

Too be honest with you I
Too be honest with you I haven't thought that far ahead I have bought the lowrance elite 5 chirp. but there's a couple of vids on youtube that show the install to a Yamaha. Hoping there's a flat spot at the bottom of my Seadoo as well. the airmar 79 transducer its a round profile one that seems better for a hull installation have you heard of them?
I have been told the lowrance tranducer that comes with gps
1) shouldn't be fitted to the outside dues to shallow reefs and beach landings ect.
2)hard to set up inside the hull, only what I have been told.
But literally only bought the ski yesterday morning so still getting my head around some ideas. I'm eager to get out as soon as possible though. so yes though's photos would definitely be a help cheers.

Mounts
try Lido mounts in the U.S. I recently purchased a mount for mounting the remote radio head in my car.
