Setting Timing on Outboard

I've got a 6hp and when I got the 3 month service done he said it was still not completely broken in. My next service is due in November and I am keen to have the timing looked at in the meantime so is it easy enough to do yourself with a timing light?

I have done it myself,
not sure on yours but I adjusted my 2002 90 Merc and its running fine now using timing light.
Check youtube theres a video on how to set your timing.
