Technically, the new owner is K2 Inc, a San Diego-based company that owns numerous sporting goods companies including K2 and Volkl skis, Marker bindings, Rawlings baseball and many others.
In general, it looks to be a good thing, the capitalization from K2 should help Penn get the new high-end US-made products like Torque and VSX reels out more quickly.
