Shannon River

Hi everyone!
Can anybody tell me if it's ok to fish the Shannon river around Pemberton area? D.E.C website lists fishing as an activity then found a PDF which stated it was closed however this info seemed old.
Anyone?
Bueler?

Shannon River. Closed to fishing, including all its tributaries
and the Shannon Dam, upstream of the intersection of the
Shannon River and the natural extension of Springbreak Road

Thanks Champion, that is from the same PDF I read. Looks like it came into effect in 07 which would mean the ban is lifted this year. Any idea on the month?

I'm pretty sure they extended
I'm pretty sure they extended the 5 year ban again, read it somewhere. It's listed as closed in the marron pamphlet I have and the south coast region pamphlet (Both current).
The reason for not fishing is to provide an untouched resource for comparisons with other systems. I wouldn't fish there at all to be honest mate.
