 mainline to bimini twist to GT knot to several metres of 80lb, then several metres of 150lb, then a few metres of >100lb wire to a ginormous hook with a big sinker

 2-3 m sharks using rather large baits i know the how to do the shark rig itself but just not sure how people rig it to there line regards to just attaching a big sinker or having a breakway weight etc

 If the sinker is around 5oz

 If the sinker is around 5oz or less just clip it to the swivel that connects the wire to mono (if you use one).

If using a brick or similar I have seen guys in the US tie it on or near the hooks with about 2m of 10lb mono that the shark bites off when it takes the bait.
