shark teeth for sale

While bored waiting for my missus buying crap in a beading shop, I noticed these shark teeth being sold to make jewellery etc. Asked shop lady where they're from, Indonesia was the reply.
Is this a bad thing? I dunno. They're all pretty bloody small. Though i guess, the sharks they came from would've been killed anyway for meat so they may aswell make a few extra cents off the teeth? There was also heaps of shells, I imagine also from Indo, all the spirally types. I don't think its a great idea to encourage taking shells and things.

well, I was kinda just thinking out loud on the ethics of promoting the sale of shark teeth and seashells that are coming from an area that uses unsustainable practices etc (I think).

Sizes
From the sizes of the teeth displayed , they could come from legally caught sharks here in WA.
