HI
Chasing info on the Shimano Aerlex reel.
Does anyone own one? What are they like?
I can't see them on the Shimano website, was wondering wether they have been discontinued?
Any info appreciated.
Cheers

I got two
A 3000 and a 6000. I havnt had a problem with them apart from the metal cover that screws on the reel body traps water and corrodes. But I dont screw my drag down to max and complain when my reel breaks.
I run 2kg mono on the 3000 and stopped plenty of tuna and small macks to 6kg.
The 6000 has 8kg mono and is fine for macks to 15kg and I have got GT's to 20 so the drag seemed alright. But as I said, the drag is only 1/3 breaking strain, not screwed down to max trying to use 80lb braid
Twin turbo..V8 diesel..Ohh what a feeling!!
