Skippers Satisfaction in Greenhead
Submitted by Anchorman on Wed, 2015-10-07 13:56
We had another awesome week up in Greenhead last week for the first week of the school holidays with some great family and friends. What amazing weather it was for swimming, fishing and lazing on the beach. Great part of the world.
Took my boat up again as I cant leave on holidays without it.
I was able to take a couple of new comers to boating out for some fishing. They all picked up a dhuie each over a couple of days. All caught in the shallows in 6-8m of water. Which was great fun as they were fighting all the way to the boat.
Unfortunately I didn't. But I did get a lot of satisfaction out of seeing them with big smiles on there faces reeling them in. Team effort I say :)

well done skipper
We where just up the road and I still cant stop smiling about the weather up there. I had new crew come up all week and loved putting them onto big fish, being skipper and seeing the joy a big Dhu brings to someone is something money cant buy.

Great effort skipper
How to keep the crew from grumbling, put them onto some good fish, in this case some very good fish.

Well done mate
I am glad you had a wonderful time up there.
I missed the opportunity due to bad weather during the long weekend.
I knew it came good during the week but work commitments mate.
One of my other mates who spent a week at GH had a great time catching fish consistently up to 14KG in 10-12 meters.
Mainly jigging and soft plastic fishing.
Once again good work on keeping the crew happy.
Keep Fishing. Stay Relaxed.

Good work
Looks like a cracker of a trip.
Is there a boat ramp to launch there? Or is beach launching? Might have to take the boat there to try and break the dhuey drought!!
cheers

Concrete and beach
Hi Mcgoo.
Yes mate there is a double concrete ramp with a jetty in between. Also a beach launch in the South Bay.
A lot of good ground in close. I believe around this time of the year it's great for dhuie's in close.
Cheers.
