Depends what 50lb braid you

Depends what 50lb braid you are using. It will hold 300m of PE4, but I dont think you're going to quite get 300m of PE5 on it, so the key would be to use a 50lb less than PE5. (or not care and put a bit less than 300m on)

Wont be as smooth as a stella or saltiga, and doesnt have the same drag capacity, but it is a good value jigging reel.

Very strong and would be ideal for what you want to use it for.

Stella

Stella will handle heavier lines Sherbs but if you only want to fish 50lb your right you can get 3 to 1.

Everyone that has one seems to be happy with them so far.

Hi Ya,My first big fishing

Sun, 2009-01-11 13:09

Hi Ya,

My first big fishing reel was a Ryobi Powerful 9000.  Bought it 29 years ago.  It is still in the shed and still works, though I don't use it any more primarily because you can't turn of the clicking noise and that becomes extremely tiresome after a while.  Has done a hell of a lot of work over the years.

Cheers.

Good reel

I have used one for jigging since they first came out, 250m of 80 lb braid no prob, good drag, strong reel.

300m of pe5 no problem.
