hear is some pics of some of the gear i got ready for exxy in 3 weeks i think... minus 2 rods... dads 10ft live fibre and his 9ft ugly stick... :D jeeez hes good to me...

I got back today from 2 weeks in exxy and the fishing was crap to say the least! Worst trip for fishing in the 15 years i have been going up there. Spoke to lots of locals whoi said the fishing has been poor.
Fishing isn't a matter of life or death, it's much more serious than that!!!

i know im positive, we should do well, no point going on a trip like that with a negative approach and yes rosco from all means they had a fairly good gamex from what i have heard, and alot of other people going up have done extremely well too

Anything
is better than fishing in perth, one problem was not just the lack of fish but when you did hook something decent the men in grey suits wanted their cut...usualy the body and leaving the head on the hook. They are in plague propotions at the moment up there according to the locals.

Must have been wrong place at the wrong time rodrat, still plenty of fish being caught, dont worry about that. Lots of marlin, heaps of spaniards, lots n lots of spanglies and all the other usual suspects.

Thats fishin i guess!!!!
We fished northwest reef,tantas,gulf and islands for 8 days. Only managed 2 spanglies. Everything that was decent got sharked including a 20+ kilo mackie!!!!!!!!! Got a couple of nice coronation but was really quite dead everywhere. I heard a few reports at the ramps and back home about the fishing being rather poor this year. Buggered if i know. Good luck to you all in May.

Bit of bad luck there Rodrat, like I said, you must have lucked out because I've been getting plenty of frames for my research from the ramps and my mates.
But yes, the sharks are worse than ever.
