sounder
we finally bit the bullet and got ourselves a decent large screen sounder
after a few weeks of looking at too many different sites with different sounders only to find that most of them were american sites(no wonder the prices seem,ed too good to be true)we finally found a couple of sounders we would look further into.
then there was the problem of user friendliness( as i am technically challenged) it came down to 2 units , but what size screen do you go for, as our boat is a 23 footer and looking from the back a small screen was no good , so it had to be a 8 inch .
after we decided on a unit , then it was time to price on up , nearly fell over backwards on some of the prices that they were asking, we finally found a couple of places that had a reasonable price for the unit we wanted , then there was the problem of how we were going to pay for the bloody thing , after begging and borrowing from a couple of different accounts we got there
picked it up on thursday and looked at the instructions and pannicked , but after i got to it it was easy to put the unit in but the prob was the tranny, finally got it in tonight and the Furuno 585 is set up ready to roll with a bit of help to get the settings right (thank you as you know who you are , dont you Tim), now i just hope the tranny is in the right spot, hopefully we will be out there tomorrow giving it a test drive

They navman i brought off you a while back is still running sweet. Getting married next weekend, then after the hunnymoon..we will be getting a bigger boat !
