Sounder keeps switching off...

As i was coming back from a fish last week with glassy conditions i was on about 32 knots on the way home. Everything was fine till maybe the last mile to Hillary's. Sounder said transducer disconnected and ran as if it was on demo mode. I tried looking at the wiring and seems okay but today went for a waterski and took the sounder along to see how it went. Seemed to be connected fine though it kept powering itself off. Batteries are fine and charged my guess may be a faulty wire.
Im very bad with this type of thing so i wouldnt attempt anything on my own. Any ideas/ recommendations for someone to look at it?
Thanks

my navman does it sometimes, i figure busted wire or corrosion on the pins. always spray my plugs now after a trip and it seems to happen less often but does still happen.

Check plugs
If you take the sounder in and out of the boat , check that you haven't damaged the pins and connections inside the plugs........
Also check the transducer to make sure there is no damage to the wiring entering the transducer.
if there's nothing visible you may need to take the transducer and sounder down to an electronic's fella ( ray petty's marine ) and see if he can check the transducer for you.

Had mine keep dropping out,
Had mine keep dropping out, mostly on bumps. I thought it was the connector to the headunit (removable), but found out later that it was the connections to the battery. I did actually do them up, they werent loose, but evidently not tight enough.
