Just for interest on sounder pics I pulled this off this the week before th ban ended on the first drop with a 120 gm jig targeting Sambos , the Furuno 588 is pretty hard to beat in my opinion .

Off Mindarie
Sw of Mindarie on that day , had 1 drop and went trolling in disgust as there were no sambos! Lol. It’s a regular sambo spot this bait/dhu blob was just off the main lump (10-15m) several other dhu followed the fish out of the bait too!

Jeeze I tell ya what
a nice surprise! I wouldn’t have guessed dhuies amongst that sort of sounder show.
More like bulk skippy and the odd sambo. A pleasant surprise

sounder show
hey scano , i didnt think it was dhu either but as i dropped you could see my jig go straight into it on the sounder then as i was fighting the fish other blobs (dhu) seperate from the main cloud , ive found dhu like this on offshore pike schools several times before .

hi mate ,
ive only ever used the white on both my 587 and 588 , tried the black once for a short while as John F recommended but went back to white , might have to give the blue a go , havent been out properly due to this faarkin weather! hoping for Sunday as the deckies are keen 1

For an even crisper image
For an even crisper image turn interference off will take away the blotchy look besides that top sounder shot
