Stradic ci4 2500 handle seized up

Hey all
My 2500 stradic ci4 handle won't wind. It has seized up. Always wash down with fresh water and dry it. Has recently been used almost daily and did go for a short swim off the Yak but was washed down immediately.
Any ideas and ways to fix?

Not good
Can you be a bit more specific. Is the nob on the handle not turning or the actual reel is seized up.
If it is the nob then get to work with some CRC, WD40.
If the reel is seized then it is time for a complete service.
Sometimes when the water is quiet, you can hear the fish laughing at you !

My ci4 went for a swim and
My ci4 went for a swim and within 2 days was really stiff to wind. I opened it up, cleaned out the old grease and re lubed it up. It's been perfect since. I suggest doing the same.

Madmerv - the handle won't turn as in I cannot wind it.
edit - I have managed to force it to wind now but after stopping and leaving it goes tight again

just had same issue on exactly the same reel, the bearing that sits on the gear that the handle drives was seized, everything else in the reel was fine just received the new bearing from eBay today $6.

sorry no but if you search shimano bearing it’s easy to find, you can buy a full set for stradic or individual the supplier is plaig bearings.

If it is he bearing - you
If it is he bearing - you could even take it to a local bearing shop such as statewide bearings. They have always been able to provide me with the bearings I need right away if conducting a service before a fishing trip.
