Sounder screen shots
Submitted by meglodon on Tue, 2015-05-12 15:30
Can any member put up a sounder screen shot of the artificial reefs (concrete squares) located of Busselton and Bunbury.
The reason I'm asking is that these structures are constructed of open square concrete boxes and I was wondering, as there is not much body to them just how they would show on a sounder.
Any posting of sounder snaps of such structures would be most appreciated.
Thanks good F/W people.

No screen shots to share, but
No screen shots to share, but they show up really prominently - not hard to find. You will definitely know when your over them!! That was two years ago so suspect with some seaweed growth and more fish life they will be even more obvious...

Yeh basically you see a 2m
Yeh basically you see a 2m coloured in square on the bottom, even though there isn't much body to them as you pointed out. The Duns one is great for shallow water Sambo action!! Had some fun on it a few times

Thanks guys
Thanks to all who have given me an idea of what to look for. I was a bit concerned as to what might show up on the sounder as the blocks do not have much solid structure to them.
The blocks at Yarloop are ear marked for the proposed reef to be constructed of Mandurah so I'm informed.
I have not heard or seen any progress on this project since all the info required by the fed government was sent to then (the feds) nearly 12 months ago.
Here's hoping that that there will be some action on the project mid to late this year.
