Sounder Shot Guesses

Sorry about the quality as I had some glare but I took this on some ground we found out from Forrest Beach last week and wondering what it might have been and yes I had it on auto at this stage as I spent the day fishing and playing around with the sounder trying to get a manual picture better than the auto.
We had just drifted past a couple of lumps I marked where I'd pulled up a Dhuey and a Blackarse and hit some baron ground before this popped up. My thoughts are that I hit some gravel holding a school of snapper... sadly I'll never know as the bite was very slow that morning on account of fishing 2 hours after the low tide.

Anything.
In 15m of water A herring or skippy sized fish looks like a marlin on them sounders. A decent dhu , snapper or sambo can leave a line 1cm or more wide.

There is some good ground out from Forrest Beach about 3ks out, it's goes from 52 feet to about 47 feet on a patch about as big as an oval. It was one of my spots I'd go to when not much was around and good for a Joo or Pinkie.

We were about 5 miles out and got straight onto some good ground. There were some nice big solid shows on a few lumps but it was very hard going. My cousins boat weren't catching anything so they drove down to Peppy in around 8m and got a size dhu and some sambos. Much better than the day before when I went to the 4 mile off Siesta and caught wrasse, after wrasse, after wrasse. Caught a few wrasse that day too.

Good ground mate.
Probably coraly/rubble or limestone. I am thinking how thick the bottom is indicates softer ground and by the tails present it is definately good ground.
I would definately revisiting that spot. If you're unsure send me the co-ords and i will go have a look.
Haha, just kiddin. Good find.

The criminal part is that I was so busy trying to take the pic and waiting for a bite I forgot to hit mark on the plotter.

Yeah mate got all my drift
Yeah mate got all my drift points saved in there and we were quite active so they are all pretty concentrated except for two and this spot was on one of those longer drifts.

terrible photo
Not pinkies
Usually a little higher off the ground and more an arch shape
Without knowing the circumstances or a clearer picture
Could be 1 of 3 things
A small dhuie or breaksea cod and bait fish
Your sinker and bait , but don't think so as can't see the line
A bit of fan coral or limestone and bait fish

I am certainly no expert, but
I am certainly no expert, but apart from the hard ground that is a classic looking whiting picture I get. If it was on sand with weed I would bet whiting. On hard ground with very little weed evident could be anything, but I would say in that depth I don't see any prize fish, apart from KGs possibly.

HF bottom lock
Just another suggestion Bunbury and surrounds doesn't have too many lumps more than 5ft split screen with bottom lock and in feet should give more definition

split screen
The bottom lock ( bottom 15ft ) will show activity close to the bottom better and the full depth the bottom and lumps

I use that for finding
I use that for finding ground then switch to full screen once I drift. Do you use split screen the whole time?
