sounder trouble

hi there,i have a sounder that has some touch screen button s that are no longer working ,it is a koden cvs 802a colour sounder,i have been in contact with koden dealers in perth and south aust and they have told me that it is impossible to get a new touchpad screen as they are no longer made,i think my only option is to find someone who can do marine electronic repairs but having trouble trying to find someone ,,,any help would be great ,thank s ray

did a google search and didnt find much. Whitworths marine is a dealer for koden. Give them a call and try to get the number for the koden rep. He should be able to put you in touch with an authorised repairer. If not may need to update the sounder.
I had the same drama with my JRC sounder. Managed to replace the buttons on the side but wanted to upgrade the transducer. At the end of the day it would have been cheaper to throw the unit away and buy a new one.
