South west. Bank
Submitted by Luckydog on Wed, 2012-05-23 19:50
evening all
Boats all filled up and had a fresh service, looking at heading out wid and asking the uncle out and get Hm onto a few fish.
ive heard about the south west bank out from rockingham, but on my gps it's not marked/named as that? m presuming its the bank whee I comes up to aaprox 32.18.231 115.21.657 ? comes up to roughly 20-30m?
I just threw a dart amongst the lumps in that general area, so it's not a spot by any means for anyone snooping out there!
just wanting to know if I'm describing the right area, or am I describing somewhere further out?
Pm if you want, like. Said m not chasing bps marks or a. Spot....just an idea of where I'm fishing!
Cheers
Carl

i don't want to be
i don't want top be a pescimist but going for a long run straight after a service can lead to some tears as statistics show that if your motor is going to let you down straight after a service is the most often time

Good point meglodon, Had the
Good point meglodon,
Had the solenoid shit itself on the trim, so was more of a quick once over and replacing the broken bits.
My first boat I owned in nz I had its 2ndservice, fuelled her up and heAded out into some notoriously hairy ground....sure enough it chopped up, motor went bang and I spent th next 3 hours being towed in though some gnarly looking snot! Not something I would like to repeat in a hurry....
as I look for a pied of wood to touch...

good luck out there. the sw
good luck out there. the sw bank covers a fairly big area with lots of lumps and bumps of all sizes. we have nailed a few dhuies and the odd kg but mainly pinks. however there is an abundance of sweep out there as well.

fish the rise and fall
fish the rise and fall depending on drift as to which angle you go. dont worry too much about going over the top of the lumps as some nice kg's hang out on top.

Cheers for the info Faulkner
Cheers for the info Faulkner family, the advice from guyson here has been great for someone like myself tryin to figure out perth fishing!
go out to the bank this morning was pretty snotty but flattened off. marked some good looking ground, fished a few strings of spots, I'll have a look around some of the smaller lumps next time I get out that far. Was probably a bit lazy/excited to be out on new ground an dropped on the nearest lump on e chart plotter!
Thanks again for the advice
