south west highway

went down to pinjara today to have a look at a vintage motorcycle , thought I would push on and have a look at yarloop , the place is flattened , It brought tears to my eyes to see such a historic town brought to its knees , if your heading down south stick to the Forrest hyway as after you leave pinjara , there are hundreds of workers down that way and traffic speeds are down to 20 to 40 kmh all the way to yarloop and past , good on the western power blokes stringing line down there in difficult circumstances and all the vollys cutting back burnt trees from the side of the road , and congrats to all the different council blokes from all over the metro in their vehicles (council suburbs names on their vehicles) down there helping out , good to see aussie spirit is still alive and strong

Yeah, I've been down Busso for the last cuppla days and driving home through that burned out area along Forrest Hwy was very eerie. Couple of green tops on a blackboy bush here and there, but that was it.
