Speaker installation

is it possible to install flush mount speakers in an aluminium boat? (Like 6" marine speakers). Is there an issue with the speakers accelerating corrosion of the hull? Or issues with the aluminium vibrating with the speakers? Or can I just cut a hole where I want the speakers and screw them in?
Any suggestions for the cheapest place to buy marine stereo equipment would be welcome. I am looking at elite-electronics.com.au - does anybody have any experience with them?

I got speakers off them.
I got speakers off them. There good to deal with and quick postage. Have a look on eBay they have an online shop there too. I got speakers with free delivery. As for your cut outs on an Ali boat I can't help you as I've only dealt with fibreglass sorry.

Most marine or water proof
Most marine or water proof speakers come with a rubber seal so they don't rattle against the ally. Fitted mine myself no problems. Try to fit them on a vertical panel to avoid any moisture build up

I just wanted to jump in and recommend Polk Audio's speakers - I have 2 pairs of the Polk Audio MM651's running directly (no amp) off a Fusion RA205. Sounds amazing for the size and price. Also the Fusion RA-205 is controllable usine NMEA from my Lowrance HDS - very convenient.
