Spot Bomber

Having a quiet drift yesterday when this wanker veered off his course, circled us continually, DID NOT FISH but continually circled then drove towards some other boats in the distance.....by the way, this was off Bunbury.....

salmon hunters

A lot more of it happens when the salmon come on in Cockburn Sound etc. People scream up on you to have a gander to see if you are on to the salmon and once one boat stops you end up having 20 around you in 15 minutes. I don't mind as the salmon are on the move and you do have to chase them. If you are way offshore then it is certainly a spot bomber.

Seriously though, I had the same problem at Rotto Yesterday. This prick pinged me, and tried to hide......wanker wouldnt even answer on VHF16

maybe we should have a yearly prize for the photo of the closest "pinger".. would be sort of a consolation prise for being "bombed"

Honestly I don't care about spot bombers

Mon, 2016-04-04 14:32

Fisho's who knows what they are doing won't do this

The pingers don't have a clew most of the time. They don't know what you are fishing for or what rigs to use and most importantly they can't read sounders.

I will say good luck and move on or keep fishing and don't show them what I am pulling up.

Some times they win but most of the times not.

So nothing to stress about.
