squid
hey mate I would give south mole a try other wise Hillary’s is pretty good although the squid tend to disappear a bit during the warm months and usually come back in the cold months jig wise I wouldn’t go straight for the most expensive jigs as you will probably lose a few if its your first time
hope this helps good luck

White jigs are the go lately
White jigs are the go lately in 2.5 ;)
Let your jig sink to the bottom. slowly lift the rod to see if a squid is there, whip up and down very fast 3-4 times, let the jig sink for 20 seconds then repeat.

That is what works for me.Go
That is what works for me.Go after dark. The rookie mistake most people make is getting there to early. About 7pm get there and leave at 11pm. South Mole, Lancelin Jetty, Busso Jetty, Cott and Claremont Jetty work for me. I leave a bit of slack to sence hit on the drop.

Claremont: Small squid, very
Claremont: Small squid, very reliable but very spooky. the only jig that constantly get sucsess there is 1.5-1.8 size jigs designed for naory (smaller squid)
Cott: good when they are running, very reliable in winter. SFA in summer.
