Squid on fly, who would have known :)

Had a crazy bite like I've never seen. After pulling a skippy on fly A squid went for the fly.
after that there was heaps of squid attacking the fly and each other. Of corse the one time
U Dont have a squid jig haha. Had too let them eat it than hook them on the small fly ended
up with 4 And left as it was dark and they were still Attacking the fly :) good times

somthing new, squid are bloody viscious animals when they get frenzied up, have heard of divers being attacked by packs of them

awsome on fly. you can buy small squid jig heads and tie them as normal. not many places stock them. have a cpl here but dont have a need for them in barri. good fun on a fly tho. good stuff

We got some replacement jags
We got some replacement jags in for a bloke a while back at geographe camping, still some left. Can't remember his name but he was cutting off the end of long shank hooks, glueing them on and making flies, said it worked a treat, never tried fly myself, sounded interesting.

Pretty cool i caught heaps of squid one evening on sx40's on shallow weed beds around Shoalwater,only tried it there once but it stands to reason they will attack something that looks like a small fish swimming past.
I pulled out the squid jigs and they would not touch them, must do it again some time they hit the lures with gusto and they was no way they were going to come off,each treble barb was deeply embedded.
