Status of cockburn sound

Hi All - I'm planning on getting out fishing over this long weekend, and want to get the kids onto some nice bread and butter fish out of the souns, but to be honest I'm still a little hesitant following the recent fish kill.
Has anyone being catching any whiting / KG's / other species in the sounds and are they ok eating wise ?

Squid
Had a feed of calamari from the southern end of the sound a couple of weeks ago.
We all got through unscathed...................and they were delicious.
I reckon you'll be OK !

we will also be targetting some squid; the kids love jigging for them
I really would like to get them into a nice school of whiting as well
hopefully the weather gods are good to us

Yep- been catching and cooking the squid for a couple of weeks now.
The only difference is my personality- the wife reckons I'm not as grumpy.....
Must be all the fishing time spent catching them.lol
