good closeups of the sharks

good closeups of the sharks feeding, you can see how lifeless the eyes look. good to see people take heed of the warnings to stay away

the pics were taken by scott coghlan and the person with there hand in the water is filming hence the footage on channel 9 last night. oh and he is a fishwrecked member! And as for staying away they were the ones who actually told the authorities about it.

mmm wonder if whale watching rules and distances apply if it's chow for a great white ...lol

Stuff the whale tours, we should start a GW Shark tour instead.

Nice pictures,,who cares how

Thu, 2010-11-11 13:52

Nice pictures,,who cares how close people get the sharks don't care and people swim with GW's so putting your hand underwaters no big deal just keep an eye of them,,

I just don't know how they can feed so long,,you think they would be full after 15 minutes stuffing themselves

Why dont they get rid of the carcass ?

Thu, 2010-11-11 16:23

I would have though that fisheries might have had enough brains to tow the carcass out near the fads somewhere instead of letting drift around one of our favourite holiday resorts.

Thu, 2010-11-11 16:28

Fisheries and Brains in one sentence, no mate you mistaken now! lol

but you right, common sense says take it far out to sea and let it drift away to Africa! but then any goverment body with common sense is as rare as unicorn poo!!!

it was me

Thu, 2010-11-11 17:17

hey guys it was me in the photos with my arm in the water getting under water hd footage of the white pointer, a truly once in a lifetime opprtunity to be so close to such a awesome creature!! It swam right up to the boat a few times & I got some great video while Scotty was taking still frames. It was not interested in chewing my arm off considering it had 500kg of whale carcase to finish off.

We got to see some tiger sharks as well & got the best show ever

Cheers

Steve H
