you will need
to take every thing in with you for your stay including water , there is no accommodation as far as i know it is tenting and off road caravans . there is a ranger station there some where . rough road in and out so do not know about your boat but you can always launch it at denham and drive it across if it is big enough it is about 20 nm . Great fishing tho .

It takes about 10 hours from perth to steep, the road in can be very rough at times and only 4x4 access is allowed. There is nothing at steep point except for a rangers station, you will need to get on the steep point website and fill in a form that needs to be faxed to the ranger who will then let you know if you will be able to stay there. They limit the visitors staying at the point at any 1 time and you have to pay the ranger. All the prices and regulations are on the website. You will need to take in food, water, fuel, generators if your running electrical items e.g fridge, freezers, lights and anything else you may need, also need to take any glass rubbish out with you. Personally i wouldnt take any boat through the tracks that is bigger than 5m and also make sure your trailer is in top notch condition because the corregated track has been known to rattle trailers apart. If you can make it in, it will be well worth the hassle coz the fishing is great. But make sure your prepared for the worst coz it is 3hrs to Denham by road and that is the closest town if things go wrong.
