Steep point, Hartog etc

Guys looking at mixing things up and getting away from coral bay, 25 year straight, and was thinking steep point etc. Some questions if I may (I did try searching!!);
- is there a ramp at steep and if so what size boat can be out in if its beach?
- is there a ramp at useless loop and if so is it public?
- if so, can you stay in useless loop or is it too far to travel to fishing ground each day?
i have done nanga and carrawang station many moons ago but don't know much about recent changes up there.
cheers

No ramp at steep point
No ramp at steep point mate.....only beach at shelter bay where you camp. How big is your boat? The track in can be pretty challenging. My mates and I pulled 2 boats in 3 years ago...mine was a 4.5m RIB and a 4.75 quintrex. The track had just been graded and it was no worries.
The next year we stayed in Denham a couple of bigger boats and steamed to Steep Point each day which from memory took around an hour.....maybe a bit more but it was no worries with the weather being pretty good. We went north to hartog one day and south the other down the Z cliffs.......unbelievable times!
Also if you stay in Denham you can head north to Turtle bay, or if its too rough zip up north a bit towards Peron.
Monkey Mia only 15 min drive from Denham if you want a feed of Bluebone or crabs.
Useless Loop is off limits to the public i believe......they have locked the gates over the causeway shortcut too.
hope this helps

We used to camp at Steep. 1
We used to camp at Steep. 1 vehicle tow boat into Denham and motor over. One car to tow gear into Steep for Camp. Have to take everything with you. Very good fishing.

With a 6.4 genesis your best,
With a 6.4 genesis your best, and dare I say only option would be to launch it at Denham and motor over to steep point. Use another vehicle to drag the rest of the gear in via the track.
