Stereo speakers

What are the best weatherproof speakers to get? I'm getting tired of replacing the same GME ones that I buy, they only last a season, if that, before they corrode out. Not looking for boom box performance just something to get some tunes in the boat and won't fall to pieces in 12 months. They do cop a bit of water now and then so the more water proof/resistant the better.

cheers

 My boat came with Lowrance

My boat came with Lowrance ones (I didn't even know they made speakers!) and they go pretty good. If I was going to replace them I would probably go with Fusion.

Check out the MB Quart Nautic

Check out the MB Quart Nautic range for about the $120 mark. Not putting down Fusion as they do make a tough & decent product but MB Quart crap all over them. For about the same cost you might as well have the higher quality of one of the best speaker manufacturers on the planet. Mate has a pair of MB Quart 6x9's in his boat last couple of years. They fair pump out high quality sound & are in as good a condition as the day he got them.

Hey mate. You need to check

Hey mate. You need to check the exact details very carefully, some of the cheaper units are 'water resistant' or 'splashproof' but still marketed as marine speakers... I know that GME definitely have a low end range which isnt up to much chop but just something to watch out for.
