hey all
i'm currently looking at up grading the old girl and lookin at a stessco shotgun which is basically a island cab full walk around. just wondering what peoples thoughts were on stessco boats and how they ride and handle. your experiences will help a lot in my decision.
cheers flagpole

This boat is
very weak compared to other PLATE aluminum centre cabs because its made using ribs so the boat is bassicaly a giant dinghy with a transom, this design might work well in smaller boat under 5m but thats because they operate in calm to moderate conditions but if you have a vessle 20ft or over you will almost always go offshore because you can, and i dont really know how it will preform also this boat dont have a self draining deck. get a trailcraft because it is a much better built boat a you can take it anywhere
heres some better of the boat

used stessco for 6 years now
used stessco for 6 years now and still am the finish has greatly impoved in recent years . have also owned other brands of tinnys and have had cracked hulls ,ribs etc the stessco's have not let me down so cant say a bad word about them . my old boy is the perth dealer for these boats so i have also been on some of there bigger centre consols . i am not saying they are the best of the best but they are up to the satndards of quintrex and the likes. some may think this is a bias oppinion given dad ownes the dealership but people who know me well enough know i dont care and will use what i feel is best nomatter what the situation is
