why post that mate I am retired now but used to hate flying out if I was still getting in choppers I would feel sick in my gut seeing that if I was just about to fly out. RIP the boys lst

 I'm flying out in about 2 weeks time Peter. I feel safer on the choppers than I do in some of the light aircraft I sometimes have to use to get there.Most blokes in the game will hear about this anyway in the morning briefings.

 Only just put them back in service after a coup,e of months, there was something wrong with the gear box. Looks like it will be a long time before they use them again. Rip guys

 i just flew out to the north sea out to the west phoenix. we flew out on a S92 but most other guys are getting out by boat now, scary to hear that the exact chopper was at the west phoenix the flight before it crashed.

they stilla ren't flying the EC225's here (CHC) and have been relying on the AW138's Bristow have been flying thier Supa Puma's but i guess we won't see them in the air for a while now either.

I too fly offshore next week to the Okha, no doubt in a AW138 and sea-kem is right, we all heard about it anyway during pre-starts and general chat.
